Here’s what, in addition to Panera Bread, is coming to Susquehanna Union Green – PennLive

A real estate company has become the first tenant to break ground in the 59-acre Susquehanna Union Green development in Susquehanna Township.

Construction has begun on a new office for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty at the town center development being built at the corner of Progress Avenue and Linglestown Road. The office is expected to open in January.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty has been in business for more than 22 years serving the Harrisburg, Reading, Lancaster, York and Baltimore areas. The company will relocate from its office on Crums Mill Road.

Susquehanna Union Green is being developed by the Vartan Group and will eventually be home to mix of restaurants and shops, offices, homes, public parks and green space.

Work on the project’s first phase, including grading, site utilities, stormwater management facilities, roadways, curbs, sidewalks, and landscaping started earlier this year.

Susquehanna Union Green will eventually include 17 acres of open space, 24 commercial/retail buildings; a hotel with 110 rooms; a senior-living community; restaurants; shops; offices; public parks and green space and 40 single-family homes; as well as Central Green, where programming and events such as outdoor movies, yoga on the lawn, food truck festivals, and a pop-up winter village with an ice skating rink will take place.

The home builder for the development will be Lancaster County-based Landmark Homes.

Other tenants of the development that have been announced so far are Panera Bread and Zeroday Brewing, which is partnering with Shakedown BBQ.

The new facility for Zeroday is expected to be completed by next summer.

Zeroday Brewing will be located off of Linglestown Road.

The Panera Bread will be located on Linglestown Road and will have a drive-thru lane.

The Vartan Group, which is based in Susquehanna Township says that the entire project is expected to create 400 construction jobs and 350 permanent, full-time jobs.
