HGV driver pulled over for playing solitaire while behind wheel at Dartford Crossing

Kent Police have shared a photograph taken from inside the cab of a lorry driver. According to officers, the motorist was pulled over after being spotted playing a game of cards on his laptop. The truck was stopped by eagle-eyed road crews at the Dartford River Crossing.

An image shows a laptop balancing on top of the truck’s dashboard – with a round of solitaire paused mid-game. The driver was reported and issued an on-the-spot fine. A spokesperson for Kent Police RPU said: “HGV stopped at the Dartford River Crossing by one of our marked bikes after the driver was seen playing a game of Solitaire on his lap top.

“Driver reported for offences and on the spot fines issued.”
