Serious crash involving three cars closes B4425 near Cirencester
A serious collision involving three cars has closed a road in Gloucestershire with emergency services at the scene. The crash happened on the B4425 near Cirencester at around 8.10pm on Friday. Closures are in place on the road to Bibury at Cherry Tree Lane crossroads.
Police said the closures are likely to be in place until the early hours of Saturday. The full statement from Gloucestershire police reads: “Emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision in the Cotswolds following a three car collision. “Closures are in place on the B4425 road to Bibury at Cherry Tree Lane Crossroads which are expected to remain in place until the early hours of tomorrow morning (10 Oct).”
Traffic and travel service Inrix said at 8.30am on Saturday: “B4425 in both directions closed due to accident investigation work at A429 Stow Road (Cherry Tree Lane Crossroads). Traffic is coping well.
“The accident has been ongoing since around 21:30 Friday.”
