A11 traffic: Live updates as lorry crash shuts road and causes miles of delays

The A11 is partially closed after a lorry crash this morning (November 19). The incident has caused long queues of around two miles on the A11 southbound between the Newmarket bypass and Fourwentways. Traffic is being diverted via entry and exit slip roads.

The collision – which involved two lorries – happened at around 3am today. Emergency services have been contacted for further information on the condition of the drivers. Highways England said on Twitter: “A11 southbound is closed at the junction for Worsted Lodge due to a road traffic collision.

“Vehicles will have to leave via the exit slip, but can re-join down the entry slip as this incident is within the junction itself, please pass with care.”
