Christmas in Cambridgeshire: Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour cancelled for first time in a decade

Coca-Cola have revealed that they have cancelled their Christmas truck tour for the first time ever. The world famous drink company have been force to cancel their tour due to coronavirus, The Mirror reports. Normally, the big red truck tours the UK, bringing festive joy to families.

Throughout November and December, crowds gather to get pictures with the truck, as well as a free bottle of coke. However, in 2020, the truck will not be touring because of ongoing coronavirus restrictions. Find out about what’s on after lockdown below:

A spokeswoman for the company said: “In light of further Covid-19 restrictions announced around the country and in line with Government guidelines, unfortunately, we can’t go ahead with our annual Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour this year. “We know this will be disappointing for many people, but our priority is the safety of our consumers and employees. “We really look forward to welcoming people back next year when the Truck Tour returns.”

This is the first year the truck tour has been cancelled since it started 10 years ago.
