Live updates as A10 shuts after serious collision near Buntingford

The A10 has been closed this afternoon following a serious collision. At around 12pm this afternoon (Saturday, November 28), the emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway between Buntingford and Puckeridge after a car crash. Officers have arrived at the scene and have now closed the carriageway while they investigate into what happened and attend to all those involved.

Hertfordshire Constabulary have asked motorists to avoid the area where possible. A spokesperson for them said: “We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A10 northbound, between Buntingford and Puckeridge.

“Road closures are in place and motorists are asked to please avoid the area at this time. Thank you.” Currently, there is some minor traffic on the roundabout which connects the A10 to the B1368 at Puckeridge but these are expected to worsen as the road remains closed.

Hertfordshire Constabulary and the East of England Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
