Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after crash involving truck in Sunbury

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries after he was involved in a crash with a truck at a Surrey roundabout. Multiple emergency services closed the A316 near the M3 at Sunbury following the incident at Sunbury Cross roundabout on Wednesday (November 25). The incident caused long delays in the area, as officers cordoned off the scene to investigate.

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses after a collision between a truck and a pedestrian in Sunbury. “Officers were called to the scene just before 1pm where a man was being treated by paramedics, he has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

“Some of the lanes of the roundabout are closed including access to the A316 towards Kingston and Vicarage Road. Diversions are in place.” South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) has been contacted for more information.
