Police hunting for post box thief as three more go missing across Staffordshire

Police officers continue to hunt for the post box thief after three more units went missing. They now suspect a dark coloured pickup truck could have been used to remove the heavy boxes as a caller reportedly heard noises in Morrey Lane, Yoxall. The initial boxes were swiped from Bancroft Lane in Rugeley, Dunstall Lane, Yoxall, and Wood Lane in Woodmill last week.

But officers have found more stolen in Yoxall and Rugeley as well as one in Abotts Bromley. Another house sign has also been stolen along with 2.5m of metal chain taken from Blithfield Reservoir, Port Lane, Abbots Bromley, between 4pm on November 10 and 7am on November 11. PC Richard Lymer, of the Staffordshire Police, said: “Through our investigations, we have also become aware of further incidences involving a neighbouring force.

“We will continue to pool our resources and information in order to catch those responsible.”
