A141 crash: Pedestrian dies after being hit by car on country road

A pedestrian has died after a crash on a Cambridgeshire road today (January 11). A silver Mitsubishi L200 was driving along the A141 near Wimblington at around 7am when it struck the 32-year-old. Emergency services attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon for treatment. The road has since reopened. Police are appealing for eyewitnesses or anyone who saw either the vehicle or the pedestrian in the moments leading up to the crash.
