This is the moment a truck topples over and slides across the road after slamming into a bridge on a highway in Wisconsin

The witness who filmed it said he was following behind the truck near the Miller Park interchange in Milwaukee today.

Other cars were honking at the truck to try and alert the driver to the fact that the vehicle’s bed was still up and would make it impossible for it to pass freely under an upcoming bridge.

The man who recorded the footage can be heard saying, ‘Oh s***,’ as the large truck smashes straight into a bridge overhead.

The impact of the smash causes the truck to veer across lanes and begin to turn and spin.

Eventually the spins out of control and ends up toppling over on to its side.

The man filming said: ‘I was following behind this truck with its bed up and cars alongside it honking, when it hit the bridge at the Miller Park interchange.

‘After the video ends, I hopped out, told the car that stopped behind me to call 911, and ran up to the truck.

‘Other than a few cuts and bruises, the driver was conscious and alert so I climbed up on top of the truck that was laying on its side and opened the door, pulled him up and out, and from there he climbed down and walked away.

‘We even found his phone 100 feet away sitting on the freeway, still working.

I was really scared of what I was going to see running up to that truck, and I’m incredibly happy to be able to say that the only real cost of that insane accident was the truck and some people’s time as they waited for traffic to clear up.’
