Horse dies in crash with lorry on A15

A horse has died after a crash on the A15, police have revealed. A lorry driver was travelling along the busy route just outside of Morton when two horses ran into the road. The HGV was then involved in a collision with one of the animals just before 9.30am on Monday, January 4.

The horse was seriously injured and died at the scene. Police say the other “was brought under control”. Lincolnshire Rural Crime tweeted about the fatal collision.

It wrote: “Incident on the A15 near Morton, Bourne this morning two horses on the road, one hit by HGV is sadly deceased. “The other is now safe. Road is clear.”
