Nissan Skyline R32 crashes into tree following two-car Solihull crash

This was the scene in Solihull following a two-car crash. Dramatic pictures show the car, believed to be a Nissan Skyline R32, embedded in a tree on Lode Lane, Solihull. Ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene of the collision between Streetsbrook Road and Warwick Road at 12.08pm today (Wednesday).

When they arrived they discovered the vehicle had struck a tree.

Three passengers had got out of the vehicle and were given treatment at the scene by paramedics. However, the driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extradited by fire crews. He was treated at the scene for injuries ‘not believed to be serious’ and then taken by ambulance to Heartlands Hospital for further treatment.

The other car involved in the collision was a Ford Eco Sport but no-one from that vehicle required treatment, the ambulance service said.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a two car collision in Lode Lane at 12.08pm today. We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the West Midlands Care Team. “One of the vehicles had lost control and collided with a tree.

There was a driver and three other passengers in the car. “The passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extradited by fire crews.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics for injuries not believed to be serious before being transported to Heartlands Hospital for further treatment.”
