Pedestrian on A448 in Kidderminster dies after collision with HGV
A pedestrian has died in Kidderminster this morning after a collision with a HGV on a major road. Paramedics, an air ambulance and police officers were all called to the A448 Stone Hill shortly before 9am today. West Mercia Police warned motorists to avoid the area while the road was closed in both directions.
The force has since confirmed that a person has died at the scene as a result of the collision, adding an investigation is now under way. A police spokesperson said: “At around 9am this morning we received reports of a serious collision on the A448 near Kidderminster involving a pedestrian and an HGV. “Sadly a person has died at the scene.
“The road remains closed while officers attend the incident and an investigation is under way.”
Police previously warned the road would remain closed ‘for some time’.
