Coronavirus is still battering the economy and many businesses have been forced into furloughing staff or even making redundancies. But there are still opportunities out there, including job hunters without a degree. Checkatrade.com, which helps customers find tradesmen, is looking for plumbers, electricians, painters and other specialities for major projects or smaller jobs.
Painters, plumbers, bricklayers and other tradesmen
Checkatrade.com is looking for tradesmen with a variety of skills in the Liverpool area. The website allows customers to search for tradesmen in the local area, and requires applicants to have public liability insurance.
The advert says: “Whether you’re looking for larger scale work or a few small jobs to fill the gaps in your diary get in touch to see what we have available in your area.”
Forklift truck drivers
Forklift truck drivers are needed on a temp to perm basis for a firm in the Speke area. Recruitment firm Integra People is looking for two operatives with a valid FLT licence or equivalent. The advert says the role will involve handballing, clearing, order picking, keeping warehouse tidy, there may be a lot of aspects of one man heavy lifting.

Nouvo Recruitment are hiring for an “elite outsourcing partner” which specialises in financial services.
The firm says it provides full training, and the role involves dealing with a high-volume of incoming calls, emails and other correspondence. Ideal candidates are described as having previous customer service experience and experience within a call centre environment would be an advantage. Salary is between GBP18,700 and GBP20,400 per year, and applicants must pass a criminal records check and credit check before beginning the job.
