Tragedy as man, 42, dies after being hit by cement truck near Keighley

A man has died after being hit by a cement truck in a village near Keighley. The 42-year-old man was struck by a DA.F cement truck on Skipton Road, Steeton, at 11.05 this morning (Wednesday). He was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Keighley.

“The collision occurred at approximately 11.05am this morning, Wednesday 17 March on Skipton Road, Steeton when a D.A.F cement truck travelling West on Skipton Road collided with a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian, a 42-year old male, was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage is asked to contact 101 or via the website www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101LiveChat quoting reference 13210133608.”
