Fosse Park traffic delays after crash shuts Narborough Road South for more than 3 hours

The police closed Narborough Road South at Fosse Park for about three-and-a-half hours after a car and a cement truck collided. The southbound stretch of the busy road was shut from the Asda roundabout to the junction with Soar Valley Way from 2.30pm and motorists were urged to find an alternative route. The incident led to queues along the southbound stretch of Narborough Road South heading towards the shopping park, which fully re-opened earlier this week.

The road re-opened shortly before 6pm. Updates on this incident are below. As well as our website, Leicestershire Live has a Facebook page, a Twitter feed, @leicslive, and for a daily snapshot of the top stories, you can sign up to receive our newsletter.
