The crash caused significant damage to the barrier and lamp column, and forced the closure of the M25 and A2 London-bound. No serious injuries were reported following the incident, but roads were not reopened until around 2am on the following day following completion of repairs.

Officers are now appealing for motorists with dash cam footage who may have witnessed the incident, or the moments leading up to it.
