LIVE Two ‘very seriously injured’ in multi-vehicle Salford crash

Two men have been “very seriously injured” in a crash in Irlam. The A57 Cadishead Way is currently shut between the Texaco Garage and Fairhills Road following a serious collision. It is unclear at this stage how many vehicles are involved in the incident, which happened at around 11.30am on Wednesday (June 23).

Emergency services are at the scene and traffic is currently being diverted via Liverpool Road. There are delays of up to 25 minutes and bus services are also delayed. A spokesman for NWAS confirmed two men have been taken to hospital after sustaining “very serious” injuries.

Drivers are advised to find alternative routes.
