Rendlesham assault – witness appeal

Police are appealing for a witness to come forward who may have seen an alleged assault that took place in the Rendlesham Forest area. 
It happened on Wednesday 26 May during the early evening time.  A man assaulted a woman on a country lane, leading to Capel St Andrew, near to the main visitor entrance at Rendlesham Forrest. 

The parties involved are believed to be known to one another
 
One possible witness police are keen to speak with was a white male, aged in his late 30s, with fair coloured hair, and who was wearing glasses and driving a white pick-up truck at the time.
 
A 33 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries to answer at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on 26 June.
