Pedestrian screams in terror as she narrowly avoids being crushed by HGV

Horrifying screams of pure fear can be heard as a woman in Batley realises she could be killed by a huge wagon. Footage of a woman’s brush with death show how incredibly lucky she was to not be crushed by a 32-tonne tipper truck loaded with rubble. The HGV had pulled up at a junction of Oxford Street but the driver appears to be unaware that a pedestrian is crossing the road in front of him.

The only damage appears to be to the bags of groceries she drops under the lorry.

The shocked driver then gets out and appears to apologise while another passer-by helps the woman gather her dropped possessions.

It is thought the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
