Trains stopped after lorry becomes stuck under bridge

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “Disruption is expected for the rest of the evening with passengers also advised to check before they travel in the morning. “The incident happened near Lipson Vale so is impacting services between Plymouth and Totnes/ Exeter. It is also disrupting services from London and the north which are heading to Plymouth and into Cornwall.

“An extremely limited rail replacement bus service is in place between Plymouth and Exeter St Davids – GWR are advising people not to travel if they haven’t already started (check out their Twitter which has plenty of information). “CrossCountry – You may use your ticket on Great Western Railway via any reasonable route. “Great Western Railway – You may use your ticket on the following operators services:

“South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids.

CrossCountry via any reasonable route.

First Kernow on routes T2, U1, U2, T1, 87, and 9.”
