M8 motorway truck fire live updates as emergency services race to Kinning Park

Emergency services have been scrambled to the scene of a truck on fire on the M8 motorway. Fire crews have been called to the Kinning Park area with smoke seen billowing across the sky in Glasgow. Traffic Scotland confirmed emergency services have been called to lane 1 on the eastbound section of the motorway at junction 22, close to the beginning of the M74.

Both Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment by Glasgow Live.
