Coca-Cola announces return of iconic Christmas Truck Tour
Coca Cola has sent fans into a frenzy after announcing the return of their iconic Christmas truck tour. The truck’s tour was cancelled last year due to coronavirus restrictions, leaving the public disappointed. The drinks company has remained tight-lipped about tour locations and dates, but there’s fresh hope for fans as Coca Cola’s social media team has been dropping hints that the full schedule will be announced soon, reports MyLondon.
: 11 stunning Kent winter walks you have to do this Christmas The truck, which is coloured with the brand’s signature red and white, usually tours around 40 locations in the festive period. On previous tours, thousands of Brits can be seen visiting their local truck across the UK, collecting their free bottle of coke and taking social media pics.
The beverage maker has made the Coca Cola truck a globally recognised symbol of the festive period with an extremely successful ad campaign that started in 1995. It is mistakenly also thought that Coca Cola is responsible for the colour of Father Christmas’s suit which matches its own colour scheme. Although untrue it was the US brand that standardised the image of Santa as a big, jolly round man in an ad campaign in 1931.
Coca Cola has had an instrumental role in how people feel about Christmas for almost a century.
The announcement of the truck’s return to British streets has sparked huge excitement on social media. The drinks giant are keeping many details a secret, only leaving cryptic messages in response to fans desperate for more information. However expectant fans are anticipating the tour dates to be announced any day now.

But Coca Cola replied: “Holidays are coming…” with a Santa Claus emoji. The brand also hinted: “We’ve spoken to Santa and he seems pretty eager to us.” The company updates the list of touchdown towns and cities each year to “include more and more locations”.
Some fans say they will put up their Christmas tree on the day the schedule is finally announced.
“We hope we get to see you!”, they said.
