Coca-Cola tease locations of Christmas truck tour

The Coca-Cola Christmas truck is making a grand return to the streets of Britain as it embarks on its iconic tour. The company has confirmed that seasonal tradition will go ahead this year following its cancellation in 2020. As a new variant took hold of the UK and rates of the coronavirus soared, the company was forced to cancel their tour, for fear that gathering crowds might cause a further spike in cases.

: Reading illuminated in these old Christmas lights photos For many, the Christmas truck tour marks the very beginning of the festive season, as the bright red lorry makes its way to UK towns up and down the country. The announcement has prompted a flurry of excitement across social media, but Coca-Cola are yet to drop the official tour dates.

The truck usually visits 40 locations, but Reading has been shunned in recent years. The company has failed to include any Berkshire locations on their tour since 2017, but could this finally be the year that we see the big red truck pull up in the county town? The drinks giant has hinted that the tour dates will be announced via their social media pages in the coming days, telling one eager fan “we’re just recruiting our last reindeer”.

The social media team have stirred up a frenzy on Twitter, dropping some pretty obvious hints.

One user told the company that they were only going to start putting up their Christmas tree once Coca-Cola had released the tour dates, to which the brand replied that the fan should “start dusting off the decs”.
