Video shows scary moment car is spun across road into the path of truck
A passenger was cut free from her car after she was hit by a HGV lorry causing her vehicle to catapult across the carriageway into the path of an oncoming tipper truck. The terrifying crash happened on the A13 in Canning Town on Friday (November 26) at around midday with a number of vehicles caught up in the melee. According to the Met Police a BMW, HGV lorry, tipper lorry and a flatbed truck were all involved as traffic was forced to grind to halt while passengers were looked after by emergency responders.

The BMW driver was rushed to an East London hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS) where her condition was described as not life-threatening.
In a dramatic dash-cam video, believed to have been taken by a passing London black cab driver, the moment the vehicle was struck was captured. The video showed the HGV lorry and the car travelling in the same direction before a crash occurred causing the BMW to spin across the carriage way onto the other side. A tipper truck travelling in the opposite direction tries desperately to avoid the car but slams into the front of the spinning vehicle.
A second video showed the car with the rood top cut off following rescue efforts by the emergency services. The BMW was finally removed from the A13 this evening after motorists were advised to avoid the road. In a statement from the Met Police, a spokesperson confirmed there had been no arrests and said: "Police were called at 12.02pm on Friday, November 26 to reports of a traffic collision on the A13 westbound at Canning Town.
"Police, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a collision had taken place involving a BMW, an HGV, a tipper lorry and a flatbed truck.

"The driver of the BMW was cut free from the vehicle by London Fire Brigade. She was taken to an east London hospital by London Ambulance Service where her condition is not life threatening." The incident happened following an earlier crash in the morning on the A13 involving a motorcycle.
In a statement a spokesperson said: "Police confirmed they were called at 9.20am on Friday, November 26 to reports of a motorcycle in collision with a car on the A13 westbound at the A117/E6 area. "Police and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a motorcycle had been in collision with a car.
"The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not life threatening - there were no arrests."
