Man ‘stabbed in head’ & truck torched as Glasgow street turns into ‘warzone’
A MAN was “stabbed in the head multiple times” and a van was torched as a Glasgow street turned into a “warzone”, it’s claimed. Cops swarmed the Milton area of the city yesterday afternoon after the man was discovered injured on Skerray Street.

Emergency crews raced to the scene at around 2.10pm. The man was rushed to hospital by ambulance where he is being treated for his injuries.
His condition is currently unknown. Locals who witnessed the street horror said the area was turned into a “warzone” as violence erupted near to local shops. One local told the Daily Record: “A man was stabbed in the head multiple times after it something kicked off near the chippy.
“Police put up tape and have been there ever since, it is really scary how that can happen so close to home.” Just hours after the man was stabbed, a van was deliberately set on fire.

Flames ripped through the van which was parked just five yards from the scene which was sealed off and cordoned by cops.
Detectives raced to the blaze on the Highway Maintenance vehicle on Longay Street at around 8.36pm. Another local said: “My street has been turned into a warzone between the stabbing and the fire, I can’t believe it. “A man has been really badly injured from the attack.
It was brutal. “The damage from the fire is still there and it is making the full area stink of smoke.”

Officers have now launched a probe into the incident and enquiries are now ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 2.10pm on Sunday, 9 January, 2022 following the report of a man found injured on Skerray Street, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. “Enquiries are currently ongoing.” A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.36pm on Sunday, January 9 to reports of a fire affecting two vans at Longay Street, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to extinguish the fire and make the area safe. “The crew at the scene assisted a casualty who had a minor injury.”
