A36 reopens after lorry crashes into bridge

The A36 was closed in Wilton near Salisbury after a lorry crashed into a railway bridge on Tuesday morning (April 19). Officers were called to the scene at around 10am following a collision at Kingsway Bridge, which crosses the A36 near Kingsway House. A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: Thankfully nobody is believed to have been injured, but emergency services, as well as Network Rail, are at the scene.

A section of the road is currently closed in that location so please find alternative routes.” Network Rail has been contacted for further information. This is a live story.
