Multiple fire crews rush to tackle ‘deliberate’ fire on farm

Multiple fire crews were called to put out a fire in Cambridgeshire, which is believed to have been started deliberately. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) received calls at 8.48pm on Monday, April 18 about a fire in the open on a farm in Thriplow. Crews from Cambridge, Sawston, Papworth and St Neots attended, along with the water carrier from Newmarket, which is part of Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.

According to CFRS, firefighters arrived at the scene and found a large stack on fire. The crews used a hose reel, fans, and beaters to prevent the fire from spreading. CFRS believes the fire was deliberate, but the exact cause is currently unknown.
