Funeral appeal for Kelsey, 31, who died in crash ‘on way home from work’

Friends have launched a fund-raising appeal for the funeral of a young woman who was killed in a crash. Ryan Dixon has set up the online appeal following the death of Kelsey Stuttard. Thirty-one-year-old Kelsey had been driving an Audi A3 when the collision happened on the A523 Macclesfield Road, near Rudyard, in the early hours of Saturday (May 7).

Kelsey, from Cheadle, near Stockport, was found unresponsive and died at the scene. Now the cash from the online appeal will go towards the cost of Kelsey’s funeral. It has already exceeded its target of GBP4,000.

: Paramedics, police and forensics called as man dies on Stoke-on-Trent street It states: “As you are all aware, our good friend Kelsey died tragically in a car accident on her way home from work. Some of her close friends, myself Hannah Phillips and Leah Beresford have decided to create this go fund page to help Kelsey have the best send-off possible.

“Her passion was to travel and live life to the full. From this she made many friends from all over the world that she also had a huge impact on. “This has left everyone broken hearted especially her family.

Unfortunately now Kelsey will never be able to celebrate anymore special occasions or birthdays including her 40th. Let’s give Kelsey the send off that she deserves as she was always the life and soul of any party.” Kelsey’s family released a statement describing her as ‘beautiful, loving and caring’. They said: “Our beautiful, caring, loving daughter, sister and auntie was cruelly taken away far too soon.

“She was loved by so many and has left family and friends heartbroken. We politely request privacy at this very difficult time.” Staffordshire Police closed the section of Macclesfield Road for several hours following the crash.

Officers have since appealed for anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam footage of the area, to get in touch. Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting incident number 90 of May 7. If you would like to donate to the GoFundMe appeal, click here.
