Gang hold up driver of truck filled with toys at knifepoint in Erdington

Police are investigating after a gang held up the driver of a truck containing children’s toys in Erdington. Footage circulated on social media shows the masked gang emptying the contents of the vehicle into the boot of a black car . In the mobile phone footage, the men can be seen repeatedly running back and forth to the van as they help themselves to boxes in front of startled onlookers.

Fortunately no one was hurt in the incident, which happened at around 1.30pm on Thursday (May 19) on Sir Benjamin Stone Way. West Midlands Police is asking anyone who has information about the robbery to contact them.
