Shocking dashcam footage has emerged of a near collision between a car towing a caravan and a truck on a country road.
The dangerously close call occurred last week on a stretch of road in the rural town of Inverleigh, Victoria, which is 28km west of Geelong.
The car driver with the caravan attached is seen in the clip drifting across the road into the oncoming lane.

Moments later, a truck manages to narrowly avoid the car by swerving onto the side of the road, driving through the dirt and grass before getting back onto the road.
The car driver simultaneously pulls back into the correct lane upon seeing the truck but turns too early and loses control of their vehicle.
It swerves across the road, with the caravan flipping upside down from the momentum.
The impact caves in the roof of the caravan as the driver gets out of their vehicle.
The chaotic vision was published online to the Dashcams Australia YouTube page and subsequently shared to their social media profiles.

Many viewers slammed the car driver for the way they changed lanes and praised the lucky truck driver for managing to avoid what would’ve been a devastating crash.
‘Major props to that truck driver for avoiding the collision and recovering well.
That is what an everyday hero looks like,’ wrote one.
‘Wow, well done truck driver it’s pays to keep your eyes on the road unlike the car driver,’ said another.
A third commented: ‘Passenger must have been asleep or on their phone as well.
How did neither of them realise?’
Many respondents believe the car driver drifted across the lane because they either fell asleep at the wheel from fatigue or were distracted by something.
