Car severely damaged in serious crash with HGV

A CAR has been severely damaged in a crash with an HGV. Emergency services were called to the crash on the A22 Golden Jubilee Way, Polegate, at about 3.45pm on Tuesday, June 14. The collision, which happened near the Dittons Road roundabout, involved a car and a lorry.

The severity of the injuries are not yet known. Sussex Police have been approached for comment. On Sunday, a car flipped on its roof at the roundabout connecting the A22 Golden Jubilee Way and the A27.

Two cars were involved in the crash, which four fire engines, police and an ambulance attended.

The driver of one of the vehicles is being treated for serious injuries and flown by air ambulance to hospital.
