M5 traffic held after crash involving lorry, van and car

Traffic on the M5 is being held following a three car collision with vehicles stationary around the scene. The crash, between a truck, van and a car happened this morning on the northbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 20 for Clevedon and junction 19 for Portishead. Lanes one and two of three were initially closed but all vehicles on the northbound side have now been halted.

Emergency services are at the scene. Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, a lorry, a van, and a car involved on M5 Northbound between J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon) and J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead). “Cameras show traffic now held whilst fire services are in attendance.”
