Pedestrian injured following collision involving truck
Police asked drivers to avoid an area of Sleaford following a crash involving a truck and a male pedestrian. Lincolnshire Police says officers were called to the scene at Market Place in Sleaford after the collision which was reported at 3.11pm on Wednesday, June 8. A spokesperson for the force said a male pedestrian was involved and that the severity of his injuries is currently unknown. Lincolnshire Police has added that access to Market Place via Southgate is believed to be restricted, with motorists therefore being urged to avoid the area.
The collision is reported to have happened on the corner near the Barclays Bank. The nearby Kesteven and Sleaford High School posted an image on Twitter saying that an air ambulance had landed on its school field at 3.20pm in connection with what it understood to be an incident in town. Police are referring to the incident as number 251 of June 8, which people can use if they have information about it to report to police.
