Suspected truck thieves pull over on hard shoulder and flee from cops
Men suspected of trying to break into trucks parked at a service station ran away from police. On Monday night, people using a Ford estate car were spotted trying to break into some parked trucks at a services in Warrington. The police tried to get the car to stop however the driver pulled away before stopping on the hard shoulder and running away.
Officers in Lancashire say they have reason to believe that the people involved have been carrying-out similar crimes all over the northwest. A spokesman said: “This vehicle was spotted trying to break into some trucks at a local services in Warrington. Looks like they have been active all over the North West.
Vehicle reacted to police vehicles and occupants abandoned it on the hard shoulder and escaped into the wooded area.
