Urmston motorist used mobile at the wheel of pick-up truck on motorway

A MAN from Urmston had been fined hundreds for using a mobile at the wheel on the motorway. Carl Parker, of Chapel Grove, was sentenced in his absence at Bath Magistrates’ Court on May 26. The court heard how, in November of last year, Parker used his mobile at the wheel of his Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck while on the motorway near Wellington in Somerset.

The magistrates at Bath Magistrates’ Court handed the 60-year-old a fine of GBP220 and also ordered him to cover costs of GBP134. He has until mid-July to pay the total of GBP344. Parker also received six points on his licence.
