Women’s Tour cycle race: Where to watch it on TV

The Women’s Tour of Britain cycling race kick-started today with Stage One – 142.1km from Colchester to Bury St Edmunds. France’s Clara Copponi won the opening stage after a dramatic late crash with just 300 metres remaining. That came after the race had actually been paused and restarted earlier on, with 35km still to race, due to a road accident involving a police motorcyclist and another vehicle in front of the peloton.

The next five stages will help determine the victor, all culminating in the final sixth stage from Chipping Norton to the historic St Giles’ on Saturday 11 June. For the first time, the event is being broadcast live to a global audience, on Eurosport Player and the Global Cycling Network (GCN). As stated on their website, they will be able to provide flag-to-flag live coverage of stages one and six, as well as a near-full live broadcast of stage five (Pembrey Country Park to The Black Mountain).
