Man dies after being hit by HGV on A31 Hogs Back

A 25-year-old man has died after being hit by a HGV on the A31 Hogs Back. Police were called to Farnham Road in Guildford earlier today (September 23). The incident took place at around 3.40am.

The road was closed while serious collision investigators worked at the scene, however it reopened by 11.35am. Police say the man’s family are now being supported by specially trained officers. A Surrey Police spokesman said: “At around 3.40am, officers were called to reports of a collision between a heavy goods vehicle and a pedestrian.

“The 25-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital by air ambulance but has sadly since died of his injuries. Our thoughts at this time are with his family who are being supported by specialist officers.” READ NEXT
